Dad and I had an awesome time! We had to call it quits after the first AQT (the minds were willing but the bodies weren’t haha!) but we really enjoyed ourselves and learned a lot! Bravo to all who ran a safe, fun and educational shoot!
Thank you to all the volunteers that made today another incredible experience! Despite fatigue, my daughter had a great first outing with a rifle and my son had a blast. Great job by all 😁👍👍👍
Thanks so much to Rich for putting another great one together, to Matt and the amazing coaches for all their history, help and patience and to Annie for giving us all something to aim for. These people all love what they do and it shows, such a great experience. Had a great time and a much needed bath, totally worth it!
The whole setup was funny as hell, everyone's like "Ya better take off your earmuffs", I genuinely had no idea what was going on. I'm deeply grateful you didn't go with the Gatorade cooler, Mcfly, and I never woulda got the patch if you didn't teach us such good technique on the positions so totally fitting it was you.
Great day and a great time working the line. So proud to see so many young people out shooting (and by young I mean, well, look at the pics!) - not only did they shoot well, but they all took direction, never gave up or got frustrated and seemd to really enjoy themselves.
Congratulations to all the new riflemen and special thanks to all the first-timers and repeat participants as well as Rich, Matt and my fellow Range Officers.
Also a special shout out to LIPSA for use of their range.

Great time yesterday and another successful Appleseed in the books. Hopefully we can have another Appleseed in the fall. Congrats to Tim and Andre. Although they did not gain a Rifleman patch, these 2 first time participants did extremely well. I have every bit of confidence that with practice they will both become a Rifleman at the next Appleseed. It was great to see young people participate and also those shooting with only iron sights and/or bolt action rifles. Keep up the good work. Thank you also to LIPSA for being a host again to this event. Thank you to Rich, his wife whose name escapes me at the moment, Matt, Joey, Paul, Mike, Aaron, and Jason. Without this great crew Appleseed would not happen and I'm proud to be part of it and help out again.
Yup, that's me with the sharpie crib notes. Step 1 to being a functional idiot is admitting you're a functional idiot. Step 2 is finding workarounds, hahaha.
Congratulations to all the new Riflemen and everyone else who participated.
Rich, Mike, Joe and the other instructors/helpers, you all rock! Thanks for teaching our history and keeping this tradition alive.
