Competition skills and application class OCTOBER 10th, 2020 Full day!

Hey guys! FMJ and I had a great first class with this and have decided to make this a staple of ours going forward. We will likely have one more class in addition to this before the years end as well! If you are looking to take your ability to higher levels in competition this is the class for you. You will get MULTIPLE runs on stages with guidance and advice on how and where to improve, along with focused practice in order to help improve that performance as well. In our last class, people typically averaged a 5-6s improvement on each stage we set up!

    Here are the relevant details

Date: 10/10/2020 9a-5p - Competition Skills and Application
Location: Long Island Practical Shooter's Association (LIPSA) - www.lipsa.us for info. and directions
Cost: $250 per person (paid via CC, cash, paypal, venmo, or check).
    Round count: 600 rounds
Equipment: Pistol, Holster, 4 mags minimum (more is always better lol), mag pouches. Typical match day preparation and equipment as well.
    Class size maximum: 12-13 students

REFUND POLICY: Payment is now due before the class, unless an arrangement is made as an EXCEPTION. I confirm everyone the week of as well to be sure they are coming. If you cancel before that time (7 days before class date), your money will be refunded in full. If you cancel within 7 days and can fill your spot, your money will be refunded in full. If you cancel within 7 days and you/we cannot fill your spot (we will give our best effort to help you as well), your payment will be NOT be refunded. Unfortunately, we have had people cancel very last minute without being able to fill their spot and have had to instate this policy in order to protect our expenses. We also bring in people based upon the class size, in order to make sure everyone gets the individual and quality attention they deserve! Thanks for understanding this guys!

Here are some of the focus points for the day:

    - Initial cold on-demand performance assessment.
    - Discussion of the USPSA scoring system and how it might influence your strategies and plans.
    - How to break down a stage and prepare for your run.
    - Time savers based upon your individual skillset and strategies.
    - Visualization and Cue development to maintain a better focus on YOUR process, not the outcome.

Some of the instructional blocks will include

    - Dryfire warmup routine to get you dialed in and ready to perform well WITHOUT needing to fire a live round before the match.
    - Improving your transition ability in order to be on and off targets quicker and more precisely to score more points in less time.
    - Learning how to track and shoot moving targets, and how to start to plan out activation sequences to score more points in less time.
    - Tracking the A zone of targets through walls and vision barriers. Moving through an array more seamlessly and ready to shoot sooner.
    - Hard movement position entry and exit.

The idea is that the instructional blocks complement the stage performance. This does not get as basic as my skills and drills or competition fundamentals classes, but does share some similarities to it.

The people that will want to take this have typically competed before (PM me if you feel you're an exception to this!) and are looking to improve their scores. People who have taken my classes before are free to sign up for this as well, as it is the PERFECT intro. to competitive shooting if you haven't competed before as well. This will put you in the competitive environment without all of the added pressure so you can learn more about what competitive shooting is as well.

Last class, the students were able to do about 20 stage runs on several different stage setups, so there was plenty of opportunity to learn and improve!!

If you have any questions, please feel free to PM me!! Looking forward to having a great day with everyone!
