    1911 extended thumb safety

Looking to replace an ambi with a single (left side, right handed) extended thumb safety. I realize I will have to fit it. Any one better than another? Any ones to avoid, or just go straight to Wilson Combat?

I'm a full-on Glock fan boy, but decided to shoot nothing but my 1911's this year. I'm still a little new to this stuff.

If you get a quality part, fitting should be minimal. Wilson, Cylinder and Slide, Ed Brown. Pick the style you like and go to town.

I recently put an EGW on one, I'm happy with it. I also put a Kings (a bit older now) on another. But any name like that, or Brown or Wilson... you can't go wrong, pick a style you like or one that will match your gun the most.
Dear Buddha, please bring me a pony and a plastic rocket.

Forgot about EGW. Will check them out too.

        Thanks for the replies.
