Love Flitz, but it could make your metal TOO shiny.

    Great stuff.

A good resource for polishing metal supplies

Shor International sells tools and supplies for precious metal refining, jewelry making, silversmithing, polishing, weapons cleaning, and much more.

Remember polish lengthwise - hilt to point ( both sides ) -- if you change mid stream ---- it will show --

I'm a big fam of Mothers Mag polish ( cuts slowly ) - then finish up with Nevr Dull --

Not sure, never heard of it.

Brasso/Duraglit and Neverdull I've also used in the military, but not too sure how it would work on 5160.

I hate doing this without seeing what your doing on what --

Get the largest diameter buffing wheel you can use -- even if it's for your drill motor --

You gots a bench grinder ? -- Do you have other reasons to buy one ? -- If so will you use it often or two or three times a year ?

Harbor Fright ( LOL ) - has cheap-ish crap that you can get 5-ish years out of --

                            Get one you can --

                            Bolt down --

Remove the right side safety guard --

Always polish on the side of the wheel thats pulling away from you --

Get yourself a set of compound sticks -- Green / Brown / white & at least two ( 3 is best ) buffing pads --

Even if you think the coarsest compound isn't doing anything --- keep doing it -- it is --

Get back to me --- "With pics" -- LOL
