Think I should paint it to match?

I have that on my Mini 14 synthetic stock. All black.
      works great.
I had black screws with it but they rusted in about 2 minutes.
Give peace a chance, I'll cover you in case that doesn't work out.

Checkout https://bradleycheekrest.com/... they are more expensive but don't require any modification to the gun at all and are adjustable. Have a few of them...

very nice. In this case I couldn't see spending more for a cheek rest than I paid for the rifle!

Yeah, I could appreciate that. I have the Bradley's on my long range guns. I am also a big fan of the Triad Tactical Stock Pad.

It is much cheaper and is very comfortable (surface next to your cheek is brushed suede) and highly adjustable. I have that one on several rifles. And when I need to get more height from it, I put a piece of pipe insulation cut in half under the stock pad and it builds it up.

thanks...I like that it can be easily moved to different rifles. I have some scoped rifles that I rarely shoot and it would be nice to try them with a cheek rest

What paint would stick to the Kydex but not cause skin issues? Moleskin might be good for contact areas. Paint the remainder.

I like this! The cheek weld on the Plinkster is definitely too low with an optic on it.
