Last night I finally got a chance to try out this new timer: The Shot Maxx Timer Watch. It's loaded with features but the one that sold me on trying it instead of a traditional timer is that it has the option to run off recoil rather than the mic. Shooting around here it is rare to get the chance to shoot without others close enough to register their shots. Even though I was alone I had it set to use the accelerometer rather than the mic and it seemed to work well, no errors and I got times on all my shots. It doesn't save strings. You can send them to a phone via Blue Tooth but I didn't bother trying that. I really don't need the recorded strings, at least not right now. Supposedly it is sensitive enough to use during dry fire or with Air Soft guns. Like I said, I've only used it once but I like it. I got the one with the black face.
