    Shot Maxx Timer-Watch

Last night I finally got a chance to try out this new timer: The Shot Maxx Timer Watch. It's loaded with features but the one that sold me on trying it instead of a traditional timer is that it has the option to run off recoil rather than the mic. Shooting around here it is rare to get the chance to shoot without others close enough to register their shots. Even though I was alone I had it set to use the accelerometer rather than the mic and it seemed to work well, no errors and I got times on all my shots. It doesn't save strings. You can send them to a phone via Blue Tooth but I didn't bother trying that. I really don't need the recorded strings, at least not right now. Supposedly it is sensitive enough to use during dry fire or with Air Soft guns. Like I said, I've only used it once but I like it. I got the one with the black face.

The shot timer features: 4 types of Start delay options

    Par setting
2 kinds of beep sounds + silent activation
10 levels of digital sensitivity adjustments + a customized Airsoft mode
Filter to totally eliminate echo’s on indoor ranges.

    Fhe digital watch features:
    12/24 clock display Date display
    Lap capable stopwatch
    Programmable alarm
A handy 3min and 5min countdown tool for RO’s wanting to time walk throughs.

Just got one last week. It does work with dry fire, but I found I needed to turn it so the face is on the bottom of my wrist (facing the gun) to pick up the hammer dropping reliably.

I have one and love it, Running it in Ghost mode to you can keep track of you own times . It will pick up airsoft if set on the sensitive side.

        What color does everyone have?

I have been looking at getting one for a while now but was not sure to get black or white. I would prefer the black, but a bunch of reviews said it's harder to see in doors (and I am at Medford most of the time since it's closest to me).

Nice to see the positive reviews though.

Will it work at the range while others are shooting?

I got the white because of what I read in a lot of the reviews. It will filter out nearby shots when the accelerometer is enabled. It listens for a shot on the mic, then validates it was you by correlating the sound of the shot to movement of your wrist during recoil. I have not tried it out yet though.

I have the black face. I read that it would be easier to see outside and I shoot outside a lot. I haven't had any trouble reading it inside though. The backlight just lights up the text. I thought it wasn't working at first because its subtle.

Thanks. I like the way the black one looks better, but was worried about indoors. If it seems to be ok indoors I might give the black a go.

I will probably get from Double Alpha or Shooters Connection (looks like DA might have stock of them, SC says out of stock) as FMJ says it helps Team Infidel to purchase from either of them.

DA was out when I ordered mine a few weeks ago, they said they'd be back in stock in May. I got it from Brownells.

I was just looking at this again as I never purchased it in May. Just FYI for anyone interested from Double Alpha...
