    Gunbroker???

First time this has ever happened with me and i have purchased numerous items from Gunbroker. I received an email from a seller on Gunbroker telling me i should ignore the results of the auction I was bidding on because the item had been sold in store. Sounds like BS

Did the auction state the item was on display in the store as well? If it did you don't have much of a case.
Unless of course they are playing the old 'auction didn't get enough $ so we'll blow him off' game...
    SHADAP VARMINT!

That's just plain ol wrong, and it blows. I had it happen once, where the seller had it listed on two sites(so he said)at the same time. Yeah....that's why he avoided me for over a week before responding to the admin.

Happened to me does it say in the description (seller has the right to end sale early or item offered for sale outside of auction.

And as MR said, was it for sale in his storexas well? If so, the auction shojld have had a buy-it-now as well.

No it does not have the old item for sale in store BS. And it has a minimum bid which i met and was accepted.

Then it sounds like they are jerking you around. You can make it an issue with Gunbroker since a winning bid is a binding contract, but odds are you won't get very far.

I've had the same thing happen. I would file a complaint with Gunbroker. It's a scam artist. If he's full of crap they will pull his privileges.

The seller has sold a ton of stuff they are a top 100 seller on there and i have purchased numerous items from them. Recently it seems someone else has been handling their Gunbroker selling. Wrote the guy back waiting to hear what they say. I have really liked purchasing from them in the past.

                  email i received

                  Sir,

The GB item you are bidding on has been sold in the store. The item is no longer available.
Ignore your auction results - as it has to go to completion.

Notify Gunbroker. If nothing else they will give him a (figurative) smack on the nose

They usually say something about the item being up for sale in the store at the same time it's up for auction. They usually state that they'll sell it in store if they don't get a bid. But once they get a bid, they're supposed to pull it from inventory.

Again....they usually state what they'll do in the item description.

Do you have a link to it? I'd love to read it.

Had a similar occurrence. Item was sold prior to auction sale. I understand that can happen.
What pissed me off was that three days later, the charge went through on my credit card.
Had my bank dispute it and reverse charges.
                        Left negative feedback for seller.

No mention of it being up for sale in their retail store, or that there is a retail store.

Seems kinda shady not to mention it...

15 rnd capacity? Damn you people with your second homes!
