    OK, I get that there could be applications for something like this, but c'mon, the cop on the street carrying this thing is epically stupid IMHO

      I do believe that at some point we have been down this road before.

      I don't see how "the cop on the street" however makes this any less stupid of an idea.

      If I am ever in the unfortunate circumstance of pointing a loaded firearm at someone.

      This golf ball would be the last thing on my mind.

          I used the cop as my example to stress a point. Aside from about 15 other problems (or not a problem) with this system is you only get one bullet catching goo ball. Follow up shots are the real deal.
          If it weren't so stupid it would be funny....Barry will order 2 million of them for soldiers and cops before he goes away.

            I remember that from some other site. Post it at NYFirearms. See if it fits on someone's air soft Luger.

            It's the same critical thinking that tells you to load your HD shotgun with birdshot first (followed by buck).
            Exercise the Bill of Rights. It's good for your Constitution.

              I thought birdshot was for birds.

                Hit someone in the head with that and it will still crack the skull like an egg. Then the armchair quarterbacks will start demanding the "capture device" be larger and softer, like a tennis ball. Then they will demand that PO carry tennis rackets and real tennis balls too...

                    All I see resulting from this nonsense is more overcrowding in our already strained jail system. More lowlives getting three hots and a cot on my dime. Yeah, this is a very stupid idea.

Live your life as a criminal, expect to be taken out by LEO one of these days (assuming you're not taken out before that by another criminal (gang member) with, gasp, real bullets!)

                        Non-lethal bullets. That's the most ridiculous thing I ever heard of in my whole life. The genius behind this nonsense actually sounds sorry about the 'lives taken'. smh

                      Why don't they just make rubber bullets? What's that? Oh they do.......why don't they make bean bags that come out of a shotgun ? What? They do? Oh why font they make a taser thing that every politician can get a piece of the company and sell it to the police for 3x the going rate? Oh they make them? Why don't they issue night sticks so the LEO has a alternative to shooting ? What's that? Too dangerous .....to the criminal........oh I get it so hit the prick with a Lloyd ball in the head or balls and see what side effects come of that? What's that? Oh some politicos own the company ??                           that too, which is another reason why I see red when I read stupid crap like this. Who's in charge here anyway? The criminals? We're going out of our way to make sure they survive a shoot-out with the police when they're out there killing innocents (sometimes cops) and each other with the real thing?
