    Pellgun Oil substitute

From poking around teh webz, this stuff supposedly IS Crosman Pellgun oil: Monolec GFS 30W SAE 30 Engine Oil made by Lubrication Engineers International

Any diesel/marine mechanics be able to get a small quantity I can purchase? The smallest quantity sold is a 5 gallon bucket. Crosman Pellgun oil is $4 per HALF ounce.

There are sooo many opinions out there as to what's acceptable (ATF, Tri-Flow, among others) but I'd rather use OE, even if it has a different label.

It depends what you're lubricating. For the piston itself and the seal, it has to have a high Flashpoint to prevent detonation of the oil in the piston chamber. And is usually some type of synthetic or silicone based oil.
