Do you use trigger locks or wire slide/bolt locks?

Do you use trigger locks or wire slide/bolt locks? If so when? Safe? To/from range?

None... I have a safe. If I go to and from the range I'm armed legally. No time for that shit.

I usually bring more than one pistol to the range. My Nassau CCW is only good for one pistol.

That CCW pistol is to secure you dont lose the other pistols you are carrying to bad men.

AFAIK, you are allowed to CCW one pistol at a time. For my additional pistols in transit I use either trigger or cable lock. Whatever fits is okay.
At home neither of those. Either it's ready to use, or in some sort of lockbox/safe.

You lock your guns triggers that are unloaded and in cases when you take them put?
        What does that do?

No. If I use a locked case for the unloaded pistols, I don't use any additional lock on each item. In the past I'd lock each one but piled them into an unlocked range bag. I think that's not allowed anymore. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Only Nassau County. Aka NYC East. Suffolk county there is still no requirement.

CMP sent me a cable lock with my M1 Garand that I have yet to figure out how to use!

I use trigger locks on my HD handguns that I store outside my safe when I'm home. Inside the safe, no additional locks. To the range, one CC and ready, the rest in a locked case without additional locks. (My trigger locks are quick open combination types.)

I don't use them never saw the point. It doesn't prevent anyone from taking the gun and it is not hard to break.

if I had kids and no safe I might use them.

No, I keep everything in a safe. When I'm transporting firearms the chamber is always open and everything is triple checked. I don't have a pistol permit.
