How Armed Is Your State (2013 data)

I'm ashamed of you New York! Last place?

No way to paste this = fargin huge.

    In part:
While this list is lengthy, it does not include categories like pistols, which make up a large percentage of the guns in the U.S. As such, the total numbers of guns in each state would actually be much higher than the figures here. This gallery is a but a snapshot of some of the broader trends.
New York comes in at number 51, with only 3.3 guns for every 1,000 residents. That's 64,353 registered firearms dispersed among 19,651,127 people. Here, two boys hold inflatable toy guns while taking part in the July 4th Liberty Festival in Liberty, New York.

Don't be so cynical! The SAFE act is working and everyone who has a firearm in NY has it registered! Thanks to Cuomo I know that if I ever have to take cover during a 7-11 shooting that I just need to count the number of shots I hear. After 7 I can just stick my head out and run away.

I can't even continued with my own absurd post. Sorry....

            So is NYS!

            Post count uber alles!
Saying we don’t need firearms because we have the Police is like saying we don’t need fire extinguishers because we have the Fire Department.

Registered guns in NY would be pistols and all NYC Guns I think.. So the statistics base is obviously flawed to begin with..

Yeah, even all those registered assault weapons didn't get us out of the cellar.

Registered guns are meaningless. Some states don't register or require a license for anything.

Think they have their numbers a little screwed up, they meant to say that 3.3 firearms owned by 1,000 citizens in the state of NY are registered. What they don't tell us is the vast MAJORITY of them are not registered.

It may not be as bad as it sounds. Remember, the downstate area has the majority of the people by far and most of them are part of the free stuff army and cannot legally own a gun with their criminal backgrounds.

They will ill also vote to take away guns
figuring that they cannot buy a gun so no one else should be allowed to get one either.

How many guns do the criminals own?
