    Price Matching

Do any LGS do price matching?

    #2
Match other LGS, possibly. Match internet prices? Not likely.

The mark up on guns is not as much as many think it is. By the time you are done with shipping and transfer fees, the difference is often minimal. Manufacturers also often have a minimal selling price and will jam up the merchant if they under sell that price.

There is also the possibility of having an issue with buying a gun online. If bought local, the assistance of the LGS is well worth any small difference in price. If bought online, you're often on your own to deal with the manufacturer.

I wouldn't expect them to. I'm grateful they even exist in UNsafeNY.

They usually do for forum users but only if you have 50 or more posts.
Know your rights/Refuse peacefully to consent to a search /Ask if you are free to go or are being detained/Even if you are not doing anything wrong the 4th Amendment protects you against unreasonable searches/Never say anything to law enforcement even if you think it will help you/If questioned you should clearly and unequivocally request that you would like to have an attorney present and defer any questions until then/Never go to prison because you are afraid to go to jail.

I've found that on the whole prices between LGS's and online prices for firearms are pretty close, with in say $40-$50 or even closer. Not really worth IMO running around and price shopping. Unless it's truly an incredible buy or something rare/hard to find.
I am not armed out of fear of who's in front of me.
I am armed out of love of those behind me.

I'd rather pay a few bucks more to have the support. One LGS took time out to help my old man out with an issue with his rifle that wasn't even purchased there. That service impressed me so much I went back and ordered a new toy from them... I might have been able to find it somewhere else (I'm still waiting for it to come In but I was told it would be awhile) but they supported me so I'm willing to support them right back.

I think you hit the nail on the head. Once you add shipping and transfer fees, your actually paying more. At least these scenarios have been my experience. However, there are some LGS that try to nail you as much as they can. You have to shop around find a shop that isn't out to "nut" you and your food to go. My place is Campsite and Paul!!!

Mine as well. Although I've only dealt with Shaun and Doug so far..... Must be missing the legendary Paul which appears to explain why I have some extra cash this week.....

It's 134 posts now. And you have to have at least one McFly reference and 3 goat posts.
