Please Never Forget those who gave ALL!

Enjoy your Weekend, your burgers, beers and spending time with Family and friends.
Just take some time to "Remember".

This is a day to celebrate our fallen brothers and sisters. Thank you for the ultimate sacrifice! May you rest in peace!

When I visit my mom at Calverton (not the range) around Memorial Day, it's a sobering experience to see the sea of flags among graves that the Boy Scouts put out every year. They'll be doing this tomorrow. If anyone is going shooting, swing by the cemetery and take a look. It's quite beautiful to witness the respect and honor given to these men and women.

Still one of my favorite pictures of my son, this picture is 8 years old now. I'll be there section 68 just like every year since I was his age.
          Second photo was last year.

Thanks for placing the flags and tell your son also! My Father is buried in Pinelawn National and when the Flags are placed it looks awesome.

I did that one year when I was in the Scouts, but usually we marched in the parade on Liberty Ave. In Richmond Hill. I wonder if they still have the parade there.

My mother and father are together in Pinelawn. I'll visit them tomorrow.

Every Memorial Day it's the same.
I leave the house or find a quiet spot to sit in the garden.
Bow my head and have a wee convo with those who didn't make it back.
Tear up, wipe them away and put on my brave face again.
My family doesn't really get it, but they give me my space, which I'm grateful for.
Not a day goes by that I don't remember, and honor, the missing, the fallen and the ones that made it back and are still struggling.

This year we are laying a soldier to rest today at Calverton. Lonny Quinn was another brother taken from us due to the devastating effects of PTSD.
The wake was packed last night, we are pulling escort duty with the Patriot Guard today, I wonder how many will be thinking of brave decorated soldiers like our brother Lonny this weekend
while they enjoy the weekend and the weather at the BBQ. I'm SO sick and heartbroken from these missions, it just should not be.
          RIP Brother.

I guarantee you more than half the fucktards 'celebrating' their three day weekend and BBQ's don't know shit about this day.

It's tough to deal with on it's own. Add to that, being treated like shit when you came back home. Even worse when you know your government didn't let you win.

And remember that it's whole families who live with the sacrifice.

Give a man fire, and he stays warm for one night. Set a man on fire, and he stays warm for the rest of his life.
