72 years ago today our greatest generation began the liberation of Europe and I don't see one damn mention of it anywhere. Just a quick glance through Newsday, fox News, NBC, etc....nothing. Maybe I am old but this is something no American should ever forget, it is one of the pivotal moments in our nation's history.

"The amphibious landings were preceded by extensive aerial and naval bombardment and an airborne assault—the landing of 24,000 American, British, and Canadian airborne troops shortly after midnight. Allied infantryand armoured divisions began landing on the coast of France at 06:30..... German casualties on D-Day were around 1,000 men. Maybe if the thousands of men we lost that day were running for president or were transgender they would get some recognition. For the media they are just not current news cycle worthy. There will be a blurb here and there but not nearly enough for their ultimate sacrifices, disgustingA politician is the lowest form of life on earth.
