    Memorial Day Movie Recommendations

I want to watch a movie which honors fallen Soldiers, Sailors, and Marines. I am thinking about the movie "Taking Chance" featuring Kevin Bacon -

    Does anyone have other recommendations?

Where do I start? The longest day, Saving Private Ryan, Midway, In harms way, the entire Band of Brothers set, Full Metal Jacket, and if you want to lighten things up a bit, throw in Stripes for a laugh. " Barneke? That guy still owes me money!". For under the sea viewing, go for Hunt for Red October, Crimson Tide, U571, and Gray Lady Down.

Yeah... we didn't fare well in that one.

                    I prefer more upbeat films.

"Go For Broke" is a good WW2 era film about the 442nd Regimental Combat Team. They were composed of Nisei (Japanese Americans) with white officers.

Lol....this is why I started with "Where do I start". Each and every title mentioned in the other posts are all worthy watchers, all though I agree with the comment concerning Tora Tora Tora! I don't watch to get beat up lol.

Nobody mentioned Patton? Wtf-over. Battle of the Bulge(not the porn flick, just so we're clear here lol), was an awesome flick as well.
