Are there any decent red dot sights that have a 1moa dot

I don't know about 1MOA, but I can speak VERY highly of the Primary Arms micro dot with the 2MOA dot. I love mine, and it's very affordable. Awesome customer service from those guys, too.

Red dots are not for precision shooting, they are for fast target acquisition and center of mass shots at close range.

I'm not positive that that's a function of the red dot / optic.... But I could be wrong.

Save the extra coin up and get an Aimpoint Pro. They usually go on sale around thanksgiving. It's a 2 MOA dot but can be turned down to be smaller and I don't think you can find a cleaner, sharper dot then Aimpoint. AP Pro is rated for 150' of water and if you know anything about hydrodynamics you know that means it's super quality. AP stands by their products and they're not made in China. There's a reason why the U.S. Military uses Aimpoint.

Whats the point of a smaller dot on a sight meant for fast target acquisition? Shrink your grouping to what? I have a three mil red dot and can hit a 6 inch steel plate at 100 yards, but the dot covers the whole plate at that range. I that case it's a MOH (minute of head) at 100.

If you want small groups, get a magnified optic. Right now what you're doing is just an exercise in frustration.
