    Turkish 8mm Mauser

Let's say you found an unknown amount of this, in brass, from 1943. It's corrosive. The brass looks in sendable condition from the outside. I've heard bad things about Turkish 30-06 for garands, but not on the 8mm Mauser rounds.

    A) send it, B) pull the bullets and feed my garden with the powder or C) offload it?

B or C your choice. I had some similar age Turk 8mm around 20 years ago. At least 1/3rd of it went click..2..3..Bang with horrible accuracy. I'm sure none of it has improved with age and questionable storage. If you're thinking of pulling dumping and reloading mine were Berdan so no primer changeability and the primers were more the problem than the powder was.

For B I was only thinking of keeping the bullets to reload with. Not sure how to dispose of the unfired brass though.

Bring it with you to the range and dump it in the dud bucket

or drop a drop of oil in the brass . the primer will then be inert

is the ammo on stripper clips or loose
    stripper was loaded for rifle
loose could be 'hot' load machine gun food
are the primers crimped in the pocket ?? ..machine gun food
    ...........
yes, many , many bad reports on the turk ammo, and many good reports on the SG 8 mm turk 1945 sold years back
century arms has 8mm turk for current sale

2 cents tossed out there ...
1 / take it to the range and shoot a random selection of the ammo
    ..............
    2/
pretty sure the powder will be 'long grain ' or flake and not long stick a la the brit WW11 303
be it flake or long grain you can also try this
pull 3 heads ...line the power in 3 powder trail of about 24", stop watch in hand , one trail at a time , light end of trail, start stop watch
be ya they burn real close to each other in time, if the trails goes fizzle, pop and poof , powder went bad
failure to ignite powder due to primer , o well shit happens due to storage and primers not being sealed
trigger pull, pin goes forward, no bang ..OK, count to 15 before you open the bolt ,rotate the round , 2 nd try
just like the good ol dcm white box 22 cal ammo from years back
    ..........
    I have and shoot 303, 8 mm , 30 06 ,7.62 x 54 , 30/40 military ammo dated pre 1945
    .........
lots of guys on 1919a4.com looking for 8 mm , in the way back of 15 years the 8 mm was less in cost then the 30 06 or 308

Oh that's a good idea. I'm going to pull the bullets on some of them and do what you said.

Forgot to mention. It's all loaded on stripper clips from the factory.

It has a really bad reputation. Case neck splits, case head separation, and some catastrophic failures. It was around widely 15-20 years ago, and even though it was dirt cheap, I don’t know anybody sensible who used it.
