      Holy shit.

AR's and Mosins have finally reached the crossover point.
No one ever wished they didn't have a gun.

You can build an AR for less than $350 . PSA has a lot better kits for not much more .

I can't look at the website anymore. It's too tempting. The prices keep going lower.

Why no more mag locks? Have you heard something we didn't?

W/a mag lock, by definition, you no longer have a detachable mag semi-auto. You can have all the evil features you want.

Or, if you want a detachable mag, grind off the bayo lug (a minute or two on a grinder), plus:
                  A thread protector:

                  And a featureless stock:

OR put on a spur grip:

If you go spur grip, this is highly recommended:

And lock the stock that comes with it:

I'm sorry - my bad as the kids say. I was thinking of the Tier 5 Modified Bolt Catch

I could be mistaken but I thought you had to drill a blind hole and use a roll pin on the stock.

There's nothing in the law that says what makes a modification permanent or what "permanent" means. The word is not used anywhere in the law. Neither are words like "welding", "pinning" or "epoxy". But people often cite those methods as meeting compliance.

You're left to your own judgement on what makes a magazine NOT "detachable", what makes a stock NOT "telescoping" or what makes a barrel NOT "threaded". Technically, a threaded barrel that has a thread protector welded onto the threads still has threads.
No one ever wished they didn't have a gun.

                        Regards,
                        Chris
