    Congrats to these 7 new RSOs that joined the ranks of Armed Women of America , taking the NRA RSO course, through our training affiliate the "Defense Dames"! This will make for a much safer monthly meet!

                Do you need a pistol license to take the course. I actually want to take the course for when I move to Florida and South Carolina as I'm thinking about looking for a part time job as a range officer.

                  No you do not need a pistol license , but you will only be permitted to act as an RSO for the discipline of firearm you can legally handle so in NY , you would be certified to RSO for Long Guns only in the State of NY without a pistol license. You can however still take the course . Hope this answers your question .

                    So if I take the course now ,when I go south and get my full carry I'll be good to get a job down there at any range ?
