Has anyone switched their M&P to an Apex barrel, either the semi-drop in or gunsmith fitted barrel? An acquaintance mentioned them and I did a little YouTube research but wanted to check with you guys.

There were some spotty accuracy issues with some early production batches but I assumed they (S&W) rectified this with later made guns. Shoot your gun with quality ammo, see which one it prefers than work out if you need a new Bbl. BTW Apex does make excellent triggers for S&W so no doubt its a quality bbl but if you don't need it, why throw away money that could be spent on training and ammo??

I'm not a big fan of S&W semi-autos throughout the years, then I became an M&P armorer (8 hours class) and felt that there seemed to be too many parts (I'm also an armorer for other pistol/rifles systems). But after owning a full-size 9mm with an APEX trigger - I'm impressed with its fit, feel and performance. In free states, carrying 18 rounds with a flush-fit mag doesn't suck.“The Wise are silent, the Foolish speak, and children are thus led astray.”
