Modify pistol mags (16 to 10r)

Hey all. I found a somewhat hard to get pistol that I have wanted for a while. It only comes with 16 round mags as its a limited edition. The seller said he will either ship without mags, or with mags if my FFL can modify them for me. I rather not lose the $60-80 worth of mags, and depending on the price would like them modified.

Has anyone had an FFL do that sort of thing (Suffolk preferably) for them? I'll try to call around later in the week if not to see if I can find anyone who will. Worse comes to worse, I'll just have then ship without and take the hit I guess.

Not Suffolk, but I am pretty sure that Bruce at Hunters Essentials can do this.

Just a question. If he ships you the mags in pieces (springs, followers removed) can you modify them permanently yourself? Wouldn't they then be considered a magazine kit and not an actual magazine? Again, I'm just asking.

It may help someone on the forum if you tell us the make & model of the gun, could be someone knows. And yes Bruce @ Hunters Essentials has changed mags from 15 round to 10 round, he has a banner at the top or call: 516-741-5243

Thanks everyone else for the replies as well. I will think about Hunter Essentials if I can't work out something closer.

Not sure about the shipping them in pieces.... even if I can send them to someone else who can use them.. I'd hate to lose out the money and basically give the seller free mags.

AirbrushArt... it is a special edition CZ 75b. My SP01 mags will fit, so I have plenty of them if worse comes to worse and I need to just have them ship the pistol and lose the mags.

Just an update, the seller will ship the mags to a free state (just have to find someone who can receive them). I will then either modify them with the blocks vmtcmt linked, or most likely just sell them. I have plenty of mags for my 75 SP-01 which will fit the 75b so that will work out.
