    1911 Cerakote color suggestions

Got a full house 1911 in the works, thinking of colors...

I always use graphite black, but that is pedestrian... https://www.cerakoteguncoatings.com/...raphite-black/

FDE is cool now, but will look like your uncles pale blue suit in a few years... https://www.cerakoteguncoatings.com/...at-dark-earth/

I have McMillian Grey and Green, like them on rifles, who knows about a 1911.... https://www.cerakoteguncoatings.com/...mcmillan-grey/

What says the masses? I talked to my POC at wilson combat and was told black is by far the most popular, followed by stainless.

Grey is the way to go. Very "Legion Like". Man do I want a Legion.

I was spraying that color years ago. I'm burned out on it. But that is a cool looking heater

The only thing more bad ass than that would be an old school mil spec 1911 with 230 hard ball condition 3.

i also shot a few competitions with it

Custom mix, stainless metallic + OD or stainless metallic + FDE (bronze like). You can start with a tiny mix of stainless for a very cool subtle look or go with more for a true metallic.

My favorite AR and AK jobs are metallic OD.
