    XD-S in Battle Gray

Been up since 0130 this morning making my way back off the ship but as promised in my introduction thread it's here! I recently saw that Springfield came out with a new color for their XD-S which is a Bi-tone black slide and accents with a gray frame that I think looks fantastic. As fate would have it my LGS had just gotten a shipment in of exactly what I wanted in the battle gray! Pictures below, XD-S 3.3" 9mm coupled with a Alien Gear Cloak 3.0 Holster. I brought it home to fiddle with it and get use to it before I play with it at the range, going to see if they will let me swap out the ammo though for some critical defense instead of critical duty though after reading and watching some tests with the ammo from a 3" barrel.

I'm not usually a fan of two-tone firearms, but that looks great. Congrats.

If "FDE is the new black", then "Grey is the new FDE".

Was thinking the same thing. Seems he moved from here to Fla. and is marine engineer there. Good stuff.

You just like that he's a MARINE Enginner and not a plain ol engineer😎

The few, the who, the US Merchant Marines. I work on a supply boat in the Gulf of Mexico for oil rigs! Typically work four weeks on and four off so I was really itching to get off this time more than usual.

I'll admit too I typically don't like Bi-tone black/polished or FDE/OD colors but when I saw the gray bi tone I really liked it. It's different but not flashy and dosent feel like a tacticool gimmick.

Just finished up a dry dock period doing a bunch of maintenance. Went from the airport to the barber, then gun store and now relaxing at home with a beer cracked open.
