    Glock FO Warren Sevigny sights

Anyone use these sights? What is your experience with them? The Competition sights. I've read that the rear is tilted towards you slightly to reduce glare.. This would be for daytime shooting outside. black in the back red FO front.

I also heard that red is better for older eyes and green for younger eyes. Is this a myth? I've tried both but find that I'm more comfortable with red.

Sorry I'm not familiar with those particular model sights

As far as sight color , I prefer fronts that are bright orange or fluorescent green. I like red the least and find it more difficult to pick up in certain situations. But that's just me and my young-ish eyes. Lol

I have them on both my glocks that I shoot, or used to shoot lol... They're fixed rear is sighted for 30 yards and is perfect for what we do competition wise... I find that my eye likes the green more so all my guns are green... its a personal thing I think mostly... If you want to see them and are planning Freeport Saturday and or LIPSA Sunday, just shout and I'll toss one in the bag

FMJ thanks, I'm taking a class Saturday and freeport on Sunday. I've shot with red before but not these particular sights. I've read that it's easy to swap the color and it comes with both. I'll try them both. You used them, so I'm guessing they're a good choice! Thanks

I hope your eyes stay young forever. It sucks going from eagle eyes throughout life to having to wear glasses to read, I need 1.25 to 1.50 to see the sight clearly.

I'm hearing green is preferred for indoors and low light. I'm primarily shooting outdoors with lots of light. I'll try both.

I had them and took them off the guns they were on.

after years of heines and every other sight on the market I am now a Trijicon HD guy. Not very exciting but they work well

Didn't know about the Heinie sights. Glad you mentioned them. . Trijicon are good sights, just don't think they're best for what I am looking for. I think they're a better option for my baby Glock. The good thing is that you use them for awhile and if you hate them or get used to them, it's easy to swap out.

I have the Warren tactical rear sight on several most my pistols. My first foray into competitive shooting was steel plate matches with a P226. After the first match with stock sights I ordered one each of the Warren Tactical and Target rear sights and Dawson fiber optic front sights. For me the tactical rear sight worked better. I feel like the cuts on the Tactical opens up the field of view enough to be a little faster when transitioning to nearby targets. I think the shape also aides in getting that front sight settled into the rear notch quicker. I feel like I don't even have to pay attention to the rear sight. I find the front sight and it just ends up where it needs to be with no conscious thought. The green fiber worked best for me.

I have tried various colors and supppliers and find the fiber that Dawson sells is the brightest. Blue was terrible for me, orange and red were better but my eye seems to see the green best. Interestingly I found some pink fiber on ebay that worked almost as good as the green for me. It was very bright and in sunlight almost appeared colorless. I also prefer a combat hold for the front sight with the fiber beng the point of impact. Dawson was very halpful in making that happen. They will make front sights in any height you want and will help in the selection process.

Odly enough I still really like the Sig post and dot too. All of my defensive pistols have either single lamp Warren Tactical rear sights or Ameriglo P-idot sights.
