Own a XDm in 40 and XDs in 9mm what would you like to know?
Just an overall take on the pistol. I'd like to take a look at a compact 9mm and the XDm 9 is one that caught my eye. Any regrets ? Anything odd in comparison to some of the other compacts out there like Glock or Sig?

How do you like it in .45? What made you end up getting it? Is it your only .45?
The size in that caliber really turned me on at first, then the price. And the rest is history after I shot it. It doesn't and hasn't burped since I've had it now matter what I fed it, I like that a lot. It's my only 45 now, I did have the XD, loved that too but had to move on a little bit. Now, like I said I'm looking for a baby 9.

People are crazy and times are strange
I'm locked in tight, I'm out of range
I used to care but........ things have changed

I have the XD Mod.2 Subcompact (3.3") in .45 as well (not in 9). It's very accurate and enjoyable to shoot. The trigger is a bit 'squishy' I would say, but I am not used to striker fired guns. After a range session with another member yesterday, I think I am going to get a trigger kit for it to help alleviate some of that.
Still an easily concealed pistol in .45 with decent 9+1 capacity.
I do have another 45 (CZ 97b) which you will have to pry out of my cold dead hands before I give that up.

I have had an xdm 5.25in chambered in 9mm for about3 years now and I love it!! Never a problem and it runs great on competitions. It feeds crappy and good ammo as well. Accurate as hell. I have done nothing to it accept put
sime talon grips on it and clean it. I cannot say how happy I have been.
By the way, I must have 5-8 thousand rounds through it with not one problem.
It would be great if you could shoot one side by side with a Shield. I was dead set to buy an XDs until after I shot the Shield. Even though the shield was much less grippy in the hand it was much quicker to get back on target for me. That may not be true for you but it is worth the time if you can shoot them both.
The XD i shot had a pretty nice trigger but it was also very well broken in. The Shield was brand new and still worked better for me.
I now have a shield in both 9mm and .45. I am debating on whether I need both. They are both crazy accurate for me but I don't have a lot of rounds through the .45 yet. The .45 is very satisfying to shoot for some reason. Terminal ballistics of a short barreled .45 are a little iffy though.
I have XD9 XDS-9 XDS-45, love them all, had a trigger issue with the 45 but sent it to springfield and got it back in about 10 days. My hand just fits on them best. Also have a walther and a glock but I don't like the grips on either.
I also have an Xds and an Xd Tactical in .45ACP....Love them both, The Xds is my EDC...My youngest Daughter is getting an Xds for EDC this fall....Super accurate...A bit of recoil in the 3.3 but the Tactical is sweet to shoot all s
day...
