    Bolt Action Pistol

I have seen a number of bolt action pistols online and am toying with idea of putting on together. There are numerous manufacturers, chassis, barrels and receivers available.

Was curious if anyone here as one or has seen them sold in the local shops. Assume this would need to be registered and go on a license.

here are some pics from the web

I always wanted 9mm bolt action/single shot pistol. Not sure if that sort of thing even exist.

I’ve wanted one of these since about 1982.

I have a .45-70 Contender. Building one in a bolt action would be very costly.

As deeply and hard core as I was into "technical pistols" for a decade and a half, I managed to avoid bolt actions because of the cost, and the permanency. (much easier to play "flavor of the month" which switch barrel break opens) An Anschutz Exemplar was my only foray into bolt pistols. Though I came close and was tempted a number of times by XP100's, the 7mmBR always called to me. lol

One thing to keep in mind, the right-handed bolt action shooter should have a left hand bolt, as found on the Anschutz Exemplar. The Remington 7mm BR XP100 was a great gun, but I don't understand why they put the bolt on the right side.

You have to switch hands to rack the bolt, or reach over awkwardly to activate a right hand bolt, while gripping the pistol in the right hand.

Start with a Remington XP100, friend has one he built in 300 Blackout, Savage Arms made the Striker in 308 but they show up on gunbroker, IMI made one years ago. Building one I would start with a Remington XP100 receiver and go from there.

I said the same thing about Noslar's recently released bolt pistol, but some people prefer the right handed , right bolt.
                            They sure are spendy.
