    Canadian revolver arrest

According to the Toronto Sun, a man was arrested for this .22 "revolver".
Looking closely, you will see a starter gun. Those funny Canadians!

    – On Aug. 21, a .22-caliber revolver was seized during a traffic stop near Mclaughlin Rd. and Williams Pkwy., in Brampton, and a Brampton man, 19, was charged.

Dollars to doughnuts says it was converted to fire .22 ammo by drilling out the barrel (but not rifled). I've seen that before. Not the safest gun to shoot, but it works.

Know your rights/Refuse peacefully to consent to a search /Ask if you are free to go or are being detained/Even if you are not doing anything wrong the 4th Amendment protects you against unreasonable searches/Never say anything to law enforcement even if you think it will help you/If questioned clearly and unequivocally request that you would like to have an attorney present and defer any questions until then/Never go to prison because you are afraid to go to jail.

Put a starter pistol in your belt and carry it like a "real" gun - and here in NY you get the same charges as carrying a 'real' gun.... up norht is probably no different.

If he is a white Canadian citizen they’ll throw the book at him. If he is a rapeugee they’ll cut him loose. He’s been through too much already.

I bet they'll blame the "lacks gun law" of the U.S. for the stupidity that has befell them.

From yesterday: Syrian refugee arrested for murder of Canadian teen

The family of a 13-year-old girl whose body was found in a B.C. park say they hope she can finally be at peace now that police have made an arrest, bringing a sudden close to an investigation in which officers recently admitted they did not have a suspect.

The arrest in the killing of Marrisa Shen was announced at a news conference on Monday. The teen’s body was found in Burnaby’s Central Park in July, 2017, and her death stunned and frightened members of the community.

In response to questions about the suspect, police said the man charged with first-degree murder in Marrisa’s death arrived in Canada last year as a Syrian refugee. The officer overseeing the investigation described the case as isolated, and said it should not reflect on others, a position echoed by refugee advocates.

Canada is, how they say??? Fuck-Ed?

Police say they recovered a 9 mm browning handgun with seven rounds of ammunition, one of which was already inserted in the firearm.
Abdurazak Abdrabo, 22, and Aman Ali, 23, are facing a total of 15 firearm related charges.

Both Toronto men appeared in court Friday morning.

The older brother of the gunman responsible for one of Toronto’s worst mass shootings was facing drug and weapons charges when he went into a coma last year, court records show.

After Faisal Hussain was identified as having carried out Sunday’s attack that killed two and wounded 13, it emerged that his brother had been unconscious in a coma at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto for months.

Fahad Hussain, 31, was arrested in Saskatoon on July 25, 2015 and charged with possession of cocaine for the purposes of trafficking, according to Saskatchewan courts. On Feb 21, 2017, the case was forwarded to federal prosecutors to be sent to Ontario.

Fahad was residing at a Thorncliffe Park address with his parents Faroq and Sutana Hussain as part of his release when he was arrested once again in February 2017 and charged with breaching his bail conditions after he was allegedly found to be in possession of shotgun shells. He was also charged with violating his curfew.

A man charged for allegedly making "direct threats" aboard a Sunwing flight from Toronto to Panama City was released on bail Saturday morning.

Ali Shahi, a 25-year-old Canadian, was arrested after Flight 772 made an emergency landing at Toronto's Pearson International Airport on Friday morning. It was escorted by two U.S. F-16 military jets.

There are so many Mounties needed to process illegal border crossings in rural Quebec that the federal government is now spending $250,000 to build an unofficial police station on the U.S. border. In Toronto last week, Mayor John Tory announced that the number of refugee claimants in the city’s shelter system has quadrupled from 459 per night in 2016 to an average of 2,351 in 2018. And at least one Quebec politician is calling for a border fence with the U.S.

These are just some of the repercussions of the more than 20,000 illegal border crossings into Canada since early 2017, all of them made by foreign nationals seeking asylum. With the influx expected to grow even bigger this summer, here are the details of Canada’s ongoing migrant crisis.

Illegal border crossers are outpacing conventional refugees for the first time

                          Yeah...

Why let just one murder make us more vigilant about who we let in our country?
