Seems it would be a good way to if you already have or plan to have a 9mm SA too, rather than have to buy 2 different types of ammo.

S&W 929 is a sweet revolver that uses moon clips. Charter Arms Pit Bull doesn't require moon clips.Comment

I have the S&W 986 which is a great gun. The only downside are the moonclips. But if you can get past that then....Comment

I ve debated this in my head for the better part of a year.
In the end I came to the conclusion that if I'm not gonna shoot competition with the revolver in 9mm or 45acp it was better off going 357 mag for the real stopping power.
My first comp of this year put me in my place... I needed more trigger time on what I have already.Comment

I have an S&W 940 and love it. I usually carry it as my hunting sidearm. The moon clips are like speed loaders.
