  • Finally picked up a revolver. S&W 625.

I finally purchased my first revolver. Been wanting one for a while and decided it was time. I settled on a S&W 625 for now as I wanted a .45 for my first one since I didn't want to add another caliber to purchase just yet. This also gives me a great excuse to pick up a .357 in the future. Here's a quick cell phone grab for now. Will get better photos later.

Just picked it up from Jerry tonight. Will hit PLB tomorrow for the final leg. The only bad part of going to Jerry's is seeing all those rifles on the wall. I have no clue what I am looking at but I know I want one.

Yes I do. I went back and forth on it because of that actually. I decided to go for it because its a pretty big gun, so it will only be a range gun anyhow, so the little extra time to do the clips won't really matter. I'll give it a few times at the range as is, and get a moon clip tool if it becomes a pain in the ass to load/unload them.

Yes it is. Thank you! The single action on this thing is ridiculously nice.

Thank everyone. I am going to hit Medford in a few hours and will see how it goes. Also going to try to diagnose my P226 MK25 issue today as well. Will be an enjoyable day at the range!

                        pics of the targets!!!!

625 was on my short list of revolvers to buy... but I'm holding back due to the elections.

Sorry, I didn't get any pics of the targets. I would guess it was around a 4" spread at 7 yds though. Not even close to my best, but this was my first time shooting a revolver. I really have to fine tune my grip next time since it is so different then my other guns.

On a positive note, I seemed to have figured out my Sig P226 and have much better grouping with that. SRT time on that one.

I'll try to remember to get pics of the targets when I go back to Medford (heading back on the 27th).
