Found an old wood stock with just the trigger guard and mag release still on it. Old .22 it looks like with the only identification on it is the Remington butt plate. Stock is in great shape and have no idea how old it is but my dad said he got it from my grandfather 20 + years ago and who knows how long he had it for. Can I build this into either a .22 or .17 hmr? Bolt action btw. Post pics in a minute.

I would just hang it on the wall as is. Thats a great stock."No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms."

Looks like it is from the Remington 510, 511, 512, 513 lines. I have a 511 if you want to see if the action fits the stock.
Take a look at image 7 in this auction for a 513, it looks like the trigger guard, mag release and bottom metal. http://www.gunauction.com/buy/12603005Ben
