Shooting two guns is only allowed in steel challenge matches. All other matches are one gun per shooter.

Really? I thought sign up for BUG matches previously gave a discount for second gun. Maybe I was wrong but a few years ago I didn't have any problem signing up for two different classes at a BUG match.

That may have been the case a few years ago, and we allowed shooters to shoot on both days at last weeks spring blast, but there have been some complaints that shooting a second gun gives an unfair advantage because shooters can have a trial run before shooting their primary gun. Steel challenge is different because the courses of fire are predefined and selected from the same pool of 8 stages.

I read first gun is $20, and a second gun is $10, but it would make scene that shooting would give a advantage running the course two times. I'll only shoot one gun.Last edited by Airbrush art; 05-22-2016, 10:22 AM.stay alive, carry a 45

I checked with the match director this morning and indeed they are allowing people to shoot more than one gun. My apologies for giving out incorrect info earlier.

Thanks for the clarification.
Running the course with two entirely different guns shouldn't give me any advantage. A glock 26 and a 44 mag Desert Eagle will shoot entirely different and will result in totally different times. And I'm not exactly a regular at matches. This will be basically the one match I get to per year.

SRT8, thanks for the update, but I have to agree that would put me at an advantage shooting the course twice, not sure if I would want to do that, will decide tomorrow when registration opens. One other question 2 other guys I work with are interested in the match can we be in the same group?stay alive, carry a 45
