False alarm according to Twitter. Some cocksucker called in shootings at multiple terminals.

Listened in on both PAPD and NYPD. No shots fired, but two going to the hospital, one of whom apparently is apparently unconscious.
Know your rights/Refuse peacefully to consent to a search /Ask if you are free to go or are being detained/Even if you are not doing anything wrong the 4th Amendment protects you against unreasonable searches/Never say anything to law enforcement even if you think it will help you/If questioned you should clearly and unequivocally request that you would like to have an attorney present and defer any questions until then/Never go to prison because you are afraid to go to jail.

Hope so. I don't like the smell of this also. I fly out tomorrow and only armed with poo-pourri.

People call false shots fired all the time. It's annoying but now with the way the world is you have to make sure your not showing up to an ambush.

Yes... Terminal 8 (American Airlines) & Terminal 1, where I have been all friggin night, and still here now! After a little bit of lightning came through north of the field, and turned everything upside down with air traffic control, we had the honor of some assholes reporting live shooter first at T8, and then over here at T1. We still haven't fully recovered yet. Flights cancelled, people scattered everywhere, not knowing what the hell is happening, and all panic breaks loose with the passengers AND awaiting crews. Never seen anything like it, other than in a movie. In the end, as far as I know, no proof of anything actually ever happening. Maybe we will know more after the dust settles? I doubt it.

Good luck bigbore! Hope you fly out soon! My wife's cousin was able to fly out after a few numerous delays due to weather and the delay with the "shooting".

Unfortunately our flight is also delayed. Just checked our status... This is gonna be annoying.

LOL, unfortunately I don't fly out. I am the guy that signs-off the technical logbook, releasing the aircraft to the flight crew, which allows everybody else to safely fly away to their destination. Which of course, if the shit ever hits the fan in an accident(god forbidding), I am the first guy to get woke up, and dragged in by the FAA to talk about it, being that I am the last person to "own' that aircraft before departure.

We actually had a flight delayed so long on the arrival, AFTER landing, that it almost ran out of fuel on the taxiway!

Yep...Last flight finally went wheels-up at 0530, and I was able to leave after all of my paper work done at 0700. Just in time to drive home behind all of the idiots that cannot seem to be able to drive into the early sun. Apparently they never heard of sunglasses, visors, or a baseball cap brim lo. Oy is exactly correct my friend.

Wow, you can even vouch for this. About 15 to 18 years ago, from work, I ran into this middle age woman. I cannot remember her name, but it was unusual. Her job was to go to JFK every day, ride around in some kind of vehicle (maybe a golf cart?) and shoot the gulls near the active runways. I couldn't believe that they actually paid someone to hunt them. I am sure the fun wore off, especially with extreme weather, but I still thought it was a pretty cool job. I have told a few people over the years and they all thought I was joking around. If you know, do they still have roaming hunters?

ETA: I think her name was something like Hilda.

The media has successfully brainwashed the sheep to think claps equal gunfire.

The “active shooter” scare at JFK Airport that caused widespread panic and a massive emergency police response Sunday night may have been prompted by rowdy people clapping and cheering for Olympic …

I have only been at JFK for approx 13yrs(LGA before that), so that was before my time. They did use a cannon for a number of years to scare off the birds. You would hear that go off every so often throughout the day. But I do see that as being a viable means years ago, but organizations such as PETA would be a big problem these days LOL. They have tried many different means to deal with this problem over the years. I will ask around about this though, and see what I can find out.
