Cop to thug who shot him: You'll need a lot of lube in prison

    https://nypost.com/2017/11/30/cop-to...ube-in-prison/

A Florida man who repeatedly shot an undercover cop was sentenced to life in prison Wednesday – and the officer held up a tube of K-Y Jelly in court to taunt the felon about his soon-to-be life behind bars, according to a report.

“You are going to need a lot of this,” the officer, who was not named, said to Kevin Rojas, 21, while holding up a container of the lubricant during Rojas’ sentencing, The Florida Times-Union reported.

The officer refused to comment to the newspaper when questioned about the K-Y Jelly.

Rojas was found guilty by a jury in October of attempted first-degree murder, attempted manslaughter, two counts of aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, grand theft auto and fleeing in connection to the 2016 incident.

Rojas looked “smug” when the officer, a former Army solider, called him a “coward” in court, according to the newspaper.

“I will take those bullets instead of a fellow officer and an innocent bystander,” the cop said during the sentencing, referring to the shooting incident, according to The Florida Times-Union. “When I brought the fight back to you, you ran like a coward.”

The incident unfolded in March 2016 when Rojas of Jacksonville took off in a car and began driving erratically after firing a gun following a fight with his girlfriend.

The officer, who was taking his child to school at the time, decided to pull Rojas after noticing the wild driving. That’s when Rojas opened fire through the windshield of the officers’ car, striking him three times, including in the face, according to the newspaper.

    The cop’s son was unharmed.

Rojas made a run for it, stole a truck and fled the scene, racing back to his neighborhood, according to the report. He was shot after police officers zoned in on him.

The officer said in court that the incident changed his life forever.

“It will never be the same,” the detective said, according to News 4 Jax. “It only took for me to look away for one second and he was already on top of me trying to kill me.”

Rojas did not speak during the sentencing and his family left the courtroom in tears, according to reports.

That's great, unfortunately the officer will probably be disciplined for this action rather than praised.

Short of being fired and losing his pension, Worth it.
But I'm not so sure he'll be disciplined.
First it didn't happen in NYC, Baltimore, San Fran, Chicago or some other libertarded place, and second I think a cop shot in the line of duty by some POS might get a little extra leeway.

I see it as a compassionate gesture. The cop simply wanted the cupcake to avoid unnecessary pain and tearing. Thoughtful if you ask me.

The cop only said that the felon would "need it". I don't think the cop was giving it away for free. LOL.

In the good ol' days, scumbags like this didn't make it to arraignment, let alone trial or pound-me-in-the-ass-prison.

            I don't need a gun.
I have never needed a gun.
I hope I never need a gun and in all likelihood, I will never need a gun.
However, if I ever need a gun, I had better have a gun.
            Therefore, I have a gun.

I'm still trying to figure out why he stopped the vehicle when he had his son in the car.

The comment was unprofessional but entertaining.
