The BIG deal is that this gun "debate" sells papers and they have to continue to villianize legal gun ownership in order to advance the agenda of stripping all of us of our 2nd Amendment rights.

Of course since most people in NY don't own a firearm they buy into the crap because they're ignorant and don't want to learn. One of my coworkers yesterday asked me if I was for or against banning "assault rifles". After I explained what makes an assault rifle an assault rifle and what semi-automatic actually means and explained that there are LOTS of semi-automatic rifles in the world not just the AR platform she actually turned to me and said "It really isn't as simple as the media is making it then."

God forbid the news does what it is supposed to do which is educate people so they can form their own opinion instead of giving people their opinion instead. Yet another example of what's wrong in our country if you ask me.

Was going to say the same thing. Guy had no record. Nothing would have stopped him from obtaining a firearm. We can't fucking preempt criminal acts.

Yes, I agree on banning Facebook.. Once the government neuter the American people some more, I'm sure they'll reveal Facebook is actually a governmental registry program and have it supercede the Social security number for ID purposes..
