Man who filmed fatal shooting of Ahmaud Arbery arrested on murder charge

    Nation May 21, 2020 6:07 PM EDT
SAVANNAH, Ga. (AP) — The Georgia man who filmed cellphone video of Ahmaud Arbery’s fatal shooting was arrested Thursday and charged with murder in his death.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation said 50-year-old William “Roddie” Bryan was arrested on charges of felony murder and criminal attempt to commit false imprisonment.
Arbery was slain Feb. 23 after a white father and son armed themselves and pursued him after spotting the 25-year-old black man running in their neighborhood. More than two months passed before authorities arrested Gregory McMichael and his son, Travis McMichael, on charges of felony murder and aggravated assault.
Bryan lives in the same subdivision, and the video he took from the cab of his vehicle helped stir a national outcry when it leaked online. Bryan’s attorney, Kevin Gough, did not immediately return a phone message.

"Arbery was slain Feb. 23 when a white father and son armed themselves and pursued him after spotting the 25-year-old black man running in their neighborhood...
That's an odd way to spell, "Followed him after calling the police when they caught him burglarizing a residence, which was also caught on video."

I’m going to wait until this goes to trial before I say anything. This is so all over place.

Where the information about "burglarizing" came from? I saw the video of him walking inside contraction site, looking around and leaving. Owner of the house confirmed that he didn't take anyning, didn't touch or defaced anything. Have you seen that video?

I may be going out on a limb here, but.....there just might happen to be more to the story than a bystander recording an incident - and getting charged with murder and attempted false imprisonment....

A person is guilty of burglary in the third degree when he knowingly enters or remains unlawfully in a building with intent to commit a crime therein. Burglary in the third degree is a class D felony.

you don't have to take anything to be charged with burglary.. just saying

Looking at how a house is being built is not intent of committing a crime.

The videographer may have been pushing him to the attackers.

Most people are curious about how a house goes together. It's a mystery to them, like magic.

The internet gossip was that in the video you can hear him rack a slide inside the car during the filming just as the perp runs to the right side of the truck .
