They made it about him talking about gays, when he was referencing the shooter meeting and untimely demise. Propaganda machine never stops churning.

Hell, it may have just been poorly timed. I'm so sick of the stupidity in this country. People need to get their heads out of their asses and stop whining about bullshit.

Just another excuse for the liberal media to blame Christians. The truth is if those gays were armed, many more of them would be alive today. So go ahead, keep protesting for muzzies refugee/invaders and keep blaming those who actually are on your side.

You know what? If he purposely posted that after a mass killing, I think it was in extremely poor taste, and pretty damn close to disgraceful, but what I think doesn't mean crap.

We have a 1st amendment that patriots started giving their lives for, almost 250 years ago, and our military proudly still does.

If you are a politician, you probably need to be judicious in your use of the cocoon of protection that you are given by our Constitution. The man should know his constituents. If many have a problem with his tweet, assuming it was intentional, and not pre-programmed, then they can show their disagreement at the ballot box. If they don't have an issue, they can show that too. My problem? The main stream media needs to STFU!!! (of course with a "hat tip" to their right to free speech too!)

I think those tweets could just as easily be directed toward the islamic terrorist .... he was killing in the name of his god.... People are so self centered they can not even image anyone else could have a different perspective.

Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick ripped for ill-timed tweet from Bible just hours after mass shooting at Orlando gay club: 'A man reaps what he sows'

The Texas lieutenant governor is being called out as a "disgrace" for an ill-timed tweet just hours after what turned out to be the worst mass shooting in U.S. history.

After at least 50 people were killed at gay nightclub in Orlando early Sunday, Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick tweeted: "Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows."

The 66-year-old Republican was quoting the Bible, specifically Galatians 6:7. It was not immediately clear if he intended it as a response to the massacre in Orlando, but many people have taken it that way.

"You pervert Christianity in a way that would make Jesus cringe. Where is your compassion?" another person wrote. Some on Twitter have theorized that the tweet may have been scheduled in advance.

Another person commented: "I am so ashamed of @DanPatrick, I don't think anything he says / does surprises me anymore. The man is a TX disgrace."

"Imagine if you used your position to spread a message of peace & empathy," another one wrote. "People are dead and this is what you had to say?"

Patrick tweeted a second verse from the Bible later Sunday morning, writing: "The salvation of the righteous comes from the lord; He is their stronghold in time of trouble." It is from Psalm 37:39.

The lieutenant governor tweets Bible verses almost every Sunday, and some on social media were theorizing that the tweet was scheduled in advance, before the shooting. The lieutenant governor did not immediately respond to the Daily News for comment.
