      Given the state of the economy (and my bank account) I have resigned to collecting Saturday night specials. They are a hell of a lot of fun to shoot.

      Kicking off tonight with a 2021 limited run Lagavulin Offerman Edition, finished in Guinness casks. I donā€™t usually go for the Islays as the peat usually makes it too smoky, but I am an offerman and Guinness fan and found this in a hole in the wall spot in patchogue so I grabbed a bottle. Itā€™s really really good. Iā€™m drinking it in my ā€œpromoted to uncle glassā€ as I will be a first time uncle come September and am very excited about it.

      Another Balvenie tonight. I am a Macallan man but this is quickly becoming my favorite distillery. Theyā€™re not overly complex but they are all great sippers. I wonā€™t pretend to be one of those guys with the crazy palate that can pick out 50 different notes (most of which I think is bullshit lol) but you can definitely taste the oak influence in this. I like the double wood and Carribean cask much better.

      An update on this. It has officially been revealed today as a boy. I have ordered an engraved Henry receiver cover and will be ordering a Henry golden boy as soon as I can.
