What was your First Car?

My first car was a 1977 Buick Regal. It was light blue with a landau roof. The asking price was $2,000.00 but I bought it for $1,500.00.

I didn’t love the color, or the fact that it was a six cylinder. It also leaked a case of oil a month.

However, the stereo had an amplifier and it was mine.

One my best memories of my youth was the day I bought it.

I bought a cherry air freshener, a full tank of gas, cranked up the radio, and cruised to the beach.

The attached photo looks like my car except my car had the factory rims (which rattled due to loose center caps).

Had a 1986 Mercury cougar. I would love to find another one day. It was actually my moms first car who bought it new in 1986. In 2002 it was given to me when I was 17 and got my license with 60k miles. Sadly it was totaled by a dumb driver a year later who pulled out in front of me without looking.

1955 Chevy 2 door wagon I think they were called handyman wagons, not a Nomad, 265 to a three speed with a Hurst shifter until the engine went bad, so in went a 283 bored to 302 with a 4 speed Munce

1980 Buick Regal, my grandfather passed away and left it to me. My father had to fly down to Florida and drive it up for me. I was working in a body shop at the time so of course I painted it, installed tires, rims, a ridiculous stereo system, tinted the windows and then cruised the shit out of DPA.

I learned to drive a standard with a 'three on the tree' . I think it was an old Saab.

My first car, though, was a Datsun 1200 with automatic.
