January 1, 2005 was the first day on me not lighting up a cigarette and Finally getting the nicotine monkey off my back for good. That goes for cigars also. I don't miss it.

              Nice pictures.

Spent a very nice, mellow hour-and-a-half on my front porch at twilight with a Peterson pipe filled with Bald Headed Teacher and a snifter filled with Laphroaig single malt and my wife and some neighbors.

Hmmmm.....my old English teacher at GW Hewlett High School round about 1963 would point out that that last sentence, if strictly analyzed, would seem to indicate the snifter was filled with Scotch, my wife and some neighbors. Not that I was on the porch with my wife and some neighbors.....and the scotch and pipe. But as I had a second snifter of Laphroaig single malt and then part of a third....I'm in no state to rewrite it. I think you get the point.

I worked like a maniac all day in the yards, then cooked all sorts of dinner goodies on the grill, then sat with the misses and watched the sun go down..... She's a cool lady.... Both of us working our way through a case of Sam Adams.

Hopefully my last camel blue tonight. I've always been an on and off/once in a while/social type smoker but after a bad breakup in january one thing led to another and got in too deep. C6NY good for you on being able to hold off.

They let you smoke over there but the owner is a furry dickweed.
