Mike. If you don't find anything LED wise you can get quick, I have this Whelen DMP2S strobe (strobe tubes not led) you can have. I just bench tested it, and it still works. Just need to wire in a switch or cigarette lighter as I used to have it hard wired and cut the cord (I'm sure you can handle that, lol). I left the FD when I moved out of state in '03, never joined up again when I came back so it has sat ever since.

Welcome to the volley world Mike. It's a lot of hard work but has a lot of payoff's. As for the light, depends what your looking for. I use a single small LED unit. They can be had online for around $100.
Mine is a Whelen p/n 01-0685950-20B
I live close and don't have much traffic. It is wicked bright. The guys who live across town have bigger lights or even grill lights. The law says only one light. It also says "rotating". It hasn't been updated. If you have grill lights no one will bust your shoes. I don't know about your area, but there might be a buff shop near by that you can get the light at. Ask the guys in the firehouse. Most people buy online.βThe constitution shall never be construed...to prevent the people of the United States who are peaceable citizens from keeping their own arms.β
