    Android help

So I finally made the switch and picked up my new Moto Z Force last night. Salesman and Verizon was a total fucking moron as I am finding out after the fact things that should have been done prior to the switch, like turning off iMessages. I kept my old iphone as a backup and have been installing apps on the new one as I delete the old ones from the iphone,

The phone came with "Message+" as the default messenger, and I fucking hate it. Of course Verizon thinks it's the greatest thing since sliced bread since it is their message app, but what are you guys using?

What about a Notepad type app? Iphones had one automatically, cant seem to find one in the Droid. Is there a good one I should download?

You seriously can't find a Notepad application from Google Play?
Have you tried...searching for one? There's only a thousand of them.

    I use "Simple Notepad"
    SHADAP VARMINT!

I cant find one already in the phone, so since there are "only a thousand" in google play, is there one that is known to be good?

You should have a MEMO app already on the phone. It works for what I use it for. All honesty, you tube search for your phone and you'll find a ton of help. I have a Galaxy and usually go there first. The message app, You may be under a trial period with that app. You can go into your phone under setting then applications and see if you have another generic messaging app.

I use chomp as a message app. I tried a few and this seems the best with a ton of options to change font, color, background, etc. Google is coming out with a new app called allo soon keep a look out for that

                  Textra for text messages.
Memo should be on there by default, for a notepad type app.
Google Keep works great for lists and memos with reminders.
SwiftKey for a good replacement keyboard.

I used to use the Chomp and really liked it, but stuck with the messenger+ on my LG G4 . I haven't had any problems with it; might I suggest getting used to the swipe feature when using the keyboard, it's so much easier than actually typing each letter out.

What is your phone number so I can send it to my mother in law when she has issues with her iphone and ipad?

They are not idiot proof, I would venture to say that even for simple tasks they are more difficult to use. The fact that they only have one button makes them more difficult to use for intuitive tasks which Android uses the 2 additional buttons most phones have.
