    Wood floor Installers.

I started kicking this around last fall.
I want to install a wood floor in my living room, dining room , hallway and entrance area.
I know the wood I want to buy which is from an importer in NC: Brazilian Cherry.
Now I need someone to install it.About 900 sf.
I prefer to order the wood and have someone do the work. Seems that all the local places charge an arm and a leg or use inferior products
Anyone do that kind of work?

No but I do have a pneumatic crown stapler to install 3/4" thick hardwood flooring , it's yours to use if you choose to diy.

Everything is up Price wise, reference Labor, Its the Busy season so everyones price goes up. If the floor is Pre-finished, expect to pay much more on install, as they have to be very careful as not to scratch the finish (you could drag a tampon across a pre finished floor and scratch it) I would say that for 900 SFT of install only, no demo, You should expect prices starting at $3,500 being the lowest, Remember you get charged for moving furniture, cutting doors, installing shoe molding etc. The correct way is to remove all the Base board, undercut all the casing, install the floor and install new base board so this will add to the price you could potentially be at $5000 labor on the whole job fairly easy. You should also have who ever does it, screw down the old sub floor for sure
