Need outdoor exterior straight staircase rebuilt

Need outdoor exterior straight staircase rebuilt that was built wrong last year. I was out of commission from a surgery at the time and didn't get a good look at the job upon completion. So the guy was to come back and redo stairs. The stringers 2x12x20' CCA on the job already. Unfortunately this guy is playing games and I just need to get this done. Any carpenters or recommendations who could use some work experienced with building a stair case please let me know. Picture is the stairs as they sit now stringers not cut deep enough treads are to shallow scary going down stairs. Platform to attach to fine no issues.

There are a few variables that you should be aware of before you rebuild those, If they are too steep, You will have to increase your run as your rise is set. It appears from your photo you have a 10" tread which is fine under code, but I can not tell your rise. By deepening the riser cuts, You will only create a higher step up, Max tread height is 8" (judging by the 1x1 squares on the lattice it appears you are in the zone.

Its a straight run, the easiest set of stairs to make But if you have a set rise(your platform) and a set run (how far the beginning of the stairwell is from the platform) Its simple math from there and it is what it is within the code requirements.

                (2) questions, Do you have the room or are you willing to extend the run? Are you open to another stair configuration? an intermediate platform will help with it not being so scary think switch back stairs

I could extend another foot but the rise is fine it the threads are not 10" starting at the base of the rise they tuck under the rise . How you ask well each tread was extended with some wood to make up for the bad cuts on the stringers so the threads may be the right size the tuck under each other which is no good. This is why I need to redo these. believe me I get it that's why I'm doing this over again , the guy screwed me up.

Im not saying you do not get it, Its just that I do this stuff every day, what I am saying is if the rise is fixed, the run will have to change to give you a larger tread width. For example if you currently have 12 (steps) and you can only go out 1 foot, You do realize that you will only gain 1 " of width on each tread, Will that suit your needs? will the additional inch help? Im just trying to help you avoid paying 2 times for the same or just a little different result

The tee square will be 8x10 on cuts this will be 8" rise and 11" step (steps covered with two 5/4 ×6 pieces 1" overhang) no cover finish on risers which should give use roughly 45degree angle staircase with 16 steps at least that's what we're shooting for. Does that sound correct?
