Where in HVAC do you see bathroom plumbing?
Unless it's an air vent or baseboard I want no part of it but thanks anyway

In 20 years those things are going to pop like champagne corks. An O ring brought down a space shuttle.

My sister had to have hers re-done after 10 years, the crimp connections started to rust and fail and started to leak bad in a closet run from first to second floor in a modular house. Newer style connections supposed to be better than the originals so they say.

I agree BUT if you need to get a plumbing job in your home done, cant find a plumber and have limited tools/knowledge, They are the way to go. BTW same goes for OSB, Tyvek, and a few other "new innovations"

Not sure they any better , several renovations are working on currently , show recent connections also have same indications of future failure.

Don't believe it. Two dissimilar materials expand and contract at different rates. Rubber fatigues. O rings fail. I use Sharkbites for temporary stuff, they leak like sives. Homeowners put this stuff together not knowing how bad things can go wrong.

How hard is it to keep a building envelope dry? Foundations, drainage, roof flashings, gutters, window walls, bathrooms everywhere, pot fillers, water in the frig...now we are running plastic pipe with little metal connectors and Sharkbites in houses with two miles of plumbing. It's a recipe for disaster.
