    Tree guy?

Any tree guys on LIG yet?
I have a few trees that need to be trimmed, hoping to take one down if Huntington ever grants the permit.

Why would you get a permit? I mean yeah um a permit to remove something on your own property seems legit to me. Don't answer that here.

I had a guy but he was too expensive at it wasn't his main I source of revenue. Have you tried looks great? My neighbor used them after sandy so I know they were probably the cheapest . They did a good job removing a three off his house

I had a coworker that mentioned that the Town of Huntington requires a permit for tree removal (don't remember the exact stipulations/regulations).

C'mon man. Yeah it sux but every town has different ordinances. We all know this. Some towns it's illegal to grow bamboo. Some towns have limits on tree removal, I can remove 10 a year in Smithtown before a permit. It is what it is.

Technically you're just renting the property from the government, hence taxes. You don't really own anything outside of your house (after mortgage is paid).

Yeah, no offense to op, but fuck the town when it comes to my property. When they pay my taxes for my property then maybe they can have input as to what I can and can't do. Until that time, they can go choke on a fat cock covered in goat shit.

Huntington Town requires a permit to remove a tree from your own property. Giant bullshit but they do. It's not that I couldn't take a small tree down and ignore the Town but this is a big sucka. Anyone who is licensed won't touch the job without the permit. It's also a front yard tree and there are wires and crap running through it.

how big a tree and is it near the house or power lines? If in open area, I say it would be a great time for the first official LIG meet.

Never mind.....is it within 5ft of the curb? Also if there are wires and you bitch to the right people several times at national grid or lipa or whatever the hell they call themselves now......they will trim it heavily which will save you some coin when you remove....

I can barely go in my basement. The lighting McWonderful installed down there is so awesome I get sunburns watching TV.

I use Aspen Tree Service, Ralph is a great guy and gives very reasonable prices.

Any other recommendations (Suffolk). I have 2 larger ones near the house I need removed carefully, trimmed top down. I cut the trees in my backlot and own 4 chainsaws but looks like I'm hiring for this one.

What does it run? Trees are about 70 ft tall each.

In Suffolk I used LI Lumberjack to take down a large double-trunked oak tree somewhere around 50' to 60'. They were a lot less expensive than everyone else. IIRC it was $1900 including excavating the trunk and hauling everything away.
