Weren't one of the cameramen shot when filming this at a McDonalds or something?

A crew member working on a taping of "Cops" was inadvertently shot and killed by a police officer during a robbery in Omaha, Nebraska, local officials said Wednesday.

Officer Damiano (Hope I didn't butcher his name too bad) has been featured on several episodes of Cops and was a fan favorite. He has a bunch of great episodes. He's very entertaining to watch.

I saw a Damiano who was a retired cop used as a contributor to a news article recently and wonder if he's contributing to news stories about police and crime these days.

                      Hopefully he is retired.

It seemed to me that he was performing for the camera, and that is a sign of trouble.

"Reality" camera people/producers are concerned about ratings, and not about the justice system.

If Damiano becomes more concerned about ratings/the opinion of producers, than the law, the "comedy" will end, and it will become a tragedy.

                      Hubris never ends well.

Except this one, unlike his darker brethren, knows enough to lie down and cooperate when a gun is pointed at your head.
