Browning Hunt ‘n Gut
Browning introduced a pair of folding knives for 2016 that clearly target the hunting market. They are called the Hunt ‘n Gut knives.
The knives both come with two blades made of 8Cr13MoV steel that have a Rockwell hardness of 56-58. The first blade is a drop point design with a gut hook. This blade has a plain edge. It also has a thumb stud for one handed opening and a small amount of jumping on the spine.
A second folding blade is actually a Sheepsfoot design double saw for cutting bone. It does not have a thumb stud, which is understandable. Both blades are about 3.5″ in length and are held in place by double liner locks.
These knives have a lanyard hole in the handle and a pocket clip for easy access carry.
The differentiating factor between the two knives is the handle material. The Hardwood model uses red Pakkawood while the Break Up Country model uses aluminum with a Mossy Oak Break Up Country finish.
The suggested retail price is $34.99 for each of these knives. These knives are just two of the knives that have been introduced by the company in 2016. For example, the company introduced a self defense knife called the Speed Dial and a pair of outdoor knives called Overtime.
