In another post you showed a wood handled fixed blade. I like it. Is it for sale and if so how much?

This one? Unfortunately it sold the day after I completed it (can't seem to keep anything in inventory) it is looking like ordering is the best option and I DO NOT take deposits on orders. I can make one for you if you would like,Please pm me for details

Like I've posted before, I've purchased four of his knives with a 5th on the way. Two were gifts to two men I've been in Harm's Way with, two I still own and love, and the one I'm awaiting is going to my nephew, a Marine Corps Officer along with some very, very special sand from some very, very special places (thanks again).
You can check out the two awesome knives whenever you want.

No, I don't think that's the same one I'm. Referring to the one in the thread titled"So Ive been Playing Photographer this evening"

What is your approximate price range?

Is it cheesy to personalize a knife given as a gift? Maybe initials on the base of the blade or on the handle?

$100-$500 is the general price range and very different knives, Many variables steels, finishes, handles etc. Engraving is not cheesy, But the knives only leave my shop with my logo on it, I dont get involved with engraving at this point. I actually think it takes away from the knife. Many reputable engravers will refuse to engrave initials or anything that may be interpreted as trying to pass off known work as your own but phrases they would not have issue with but there are many who will do whatever you would like, Usually the best resource would be a Jeweler for engraving

Cool stuff man. You do very nice blade work.

I love the shoots and have been getting into gear photography myself for my websites and projects. One cool thing for product photography (and I learned this from Tactical Life photographer Ichiro Nagata) is using red and blue lights to make the lines stand out and make for a cool product photoshoot. Just get a red or blue bulb and position it in a flood over the product in one direction and take the shots.

Anyway, good stuff as usual. Thanks for sharing. Do you have a website for the knives, I'd love to check them out? Also watermark that in the shots. One of my custom zombie camo guns made a top ten list on Outdoorhub, and the only way it got attributed is the watermark (they probably pulled it off one of the forums).

Thank You for the Kind words, I will have to try that red/blue trick. But to be honest, Im so new to this photography thing, Im just learning enough to at least be proficient. Plus I am actually enjoying it. I do not have a website up and running right now, It is under construction as we speak. As for right now besides my youtube channel, I have Lumablades usa on facebook and Lumablades on instagram. I will watermark the photos, Thats a good tip thank you

I admire your time, effort and skill, but that price is insane, especially for a new and untested product.

I could use that money as an initial payment for an "authentic" Samurai sword.

everyone Has different value for different Items, when you consider that to make my smallest knife which has a 3" blade and 6" OAL, takes me about 6 hours to complete from start to finish, I use about $10 in consumables, the raw materials $22, I would say $100 is a very fair price for a EXTENSIVELY ABUSED AND TESTED custom KNIFE. I dont just make something and put it up for sale, I put each design through a series of tests before I sell them and Many, people have my knives and return to buy more. My EDC is one of my knives and I trust my life with it, I do have many commercial knives that are considered high end benchmade,zt etc but I choose to carry my own. I have invested over $40,000.00 into Specific Knife making equipment in the past year, including a professional Heat treating oven, hardness testers and have perfected heat treat with my chosen steels.

I am not trying to justify my pricing, Just trying to explain why My Knives cant be compared to walmart specials, Not the same thing, not at all.

BTW your comment could be taken as sort of offensive, If I was the sensitive type, Do you even understand how much an authentic samurai sword costs? there will be many down payments for that one unless of course we are talking about a copy or something.
