I use a keypad lock on my gun room. Exterior/entry rated and keypad can be bypassed w key. It's actually a nice looking lockset, have had zero problems w it and it's very easy to set up and program.
It is a Schlage, will add a pic and model info later. Costs about $150

Great! Thanks. Do either or you have a specific model number?

homedepot usually has them in store if you want to see them. Not sure if you were looking for a knob or a dead bolt

Simplex 7100 series. Also makes a difference if the lock is exposed to the elements or not. I have the simplex on front door (behind a storm door) and garage to house. I have a more expensive model on a back door that is more weather resistant since its exposed. I just recently had to replace two of the locks after 15 years. Around $100-125 I can't recall.

Get one that you can put multiple codes in for temporarily getting friends having access to walk your dog, or check on your house, or a trusted worker get in, and after all is done, delete their code. Yours stays. I originally got mine when I got tired of changing locks whenever changing girlfriends.it saved me a lot of money over the years, before we split, their code is already deleted from the lock.

The Kaba Simplex locks are great and I've been selling them for years. Then main issue is you can only have one code. The Schlage allows for single use codes for contractors ,etc. It also allows all your family members to have a unique code. They also make a "smart home" version that will allow a camera to activate when the door is opened as well as send a text. It also allows you to lock/unlock the door from your phone. You need to pay for the subscription for that.
