I watched a few more, he also has a .338 Lapua Mag and a Serbu .50 BMG with some pretty nice optics. Freaking You Tube - 20 years ago, would anybody believe that you could make a nice living from blowing shit up, shooting stuff, etc. and we could watch it on little devices that fit in our pockets? It really is amazing what we take for granted these days.

The things we have in our pockets were considered Super-Computers 20 years ago, and filled a cabinet or two. Amazing indeed.

I believe "I read somewhere" that a iPhone has more computer stuff in it then the whole NASA space program did on first moon trip. Unknown if it's true.

I watch his videos often. He has some collection. It's fun to watch. Believe it or not, he's a veterinarian. Explains how he has such nice toys.

I remember that too, I am going to try and find it, but it was more or less "more computer processing ability in just the main chip than the Apollo spaceship that landed on the moon, the lunar lander, all their equipment, AND all the computers at mission control!" I might be screwing it up a little, but that is pretty close. I will post it if can find it.

DOD? That explains the $900 price tag.

Well when your dealing with tank ammo, mortar shells, grenades, C4, ATMs, artillery rounds, 20MM, 30MM etc. $900 is just fine, thank you! I don't think its to lock up 500rnds of shitty 7.62x51

And 20 years before that, it would be a mainframe from IBM, because they were the only company making them, and it would have filled an entire basement of a commercial office building. They then trimmed them down to just the space of maybe 4 large business offices. If you watched Mad Men, they had a scene when they spring for a mainframe computer, which they showed something like the entire floor beneath them, which they rented just for the computer. And that show killed themselves to get that stuff perfectly accurate as it progressed through time.

Way off topic for locks, but if you didn't see that show *Mad Men," you are really missing out on something worth seeing. It is nothing like Breaking Bad in content, but it is pretty much close to it in worthiness to watch it. I cannot say it is better, or worse, because it is a matter of personal preference, but it is 100% worth watching. I think it is on Netflix now. I tried watching it once, but I was distracted, and didn't even finish the first episode and chalked it off. A few friends got me to try it again, and it was amazing.

This deserves a whole thread, and only Deadwood ties into guns, but it is great show. Carnivale is pretty twisted, and was cancelled after 2 seasons, with a lot of really pissed of people, but it was costing 4 million an episode, which was unheard of back then. They would have continued it if the producers would have agreed to 2 million each episode, and they said no. Everything I mentioned, except Mad Men, was HBO when they started having their own content. If you have HBO on your cable or satellite, you can watch all of this stuff on your computer, or iPad, etc. on HBO Go.

I actually do have a life, which is why HBO Go is pretty cool. You can watch it whenever you want. Some of this old stuff that I never even gave a chance to when it was on originally is pretty amazing. Mods - sorry about the non-gun related post. Will keep it where it belongs next time.
